PURE BEACH VIBES IN THE HEART OF GRAZ

Every year, the bolao Arena brings an international footvolley atmosphere to Graz city centre. For a few days, beach courts spring up in one of the city’s central squares, where Europe’s best footvolley players battle it out for victory — accompanied by live music, street food, a VIP area and a pure summer atmosphere.

What began as a seasonal highlight in the European footvolley circuit is now an integral part of the Graz summer. This is where professionals, amateur players and fans come together; here, the sand becomes a stage — and the city centre becomes a beach.

Bolao Arena Graz 2026

In 2026, Freiheitsplatz will once again become the bolao Arena – and this year it will be more than just the venue for international footvolley highlights. „Thumfort Sommerwelt“ brings beach volleyball, roundnet, and national footvolley to the bolao Arena for the first time.b From 18. May to 7 June, beachvibes are guaranteed.

Anyone who simply wants to give footvolley a go will also have the chance to do so at open and free events such as “Footvolley for All”. Whether you play yourself or just watch: the bolao Arena thrives on the energy on and off the court. It’s not just about points and victories here, but about exercise, socialising and that special feeling of summer in Graz.

Thursdays from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. „Footvolley für Alle“ takes place at bolao Arena at Freiheitsplatz. . All ages and ability levels are welcome – it’s free to take part!
